I'm a huge Soundgarden and Chris Cornell fan oh, so this was a must go, must-see for me when I was in the Seattle area. It's just nice to sit in the quiet and listen to the organ pipes as they blow in the Wind, and let your mind wander free Really rad public acoustic art installation. Well worth a visit. Magnuson Park is arguably the best place to fly a kite. Sand Point Head also known as "Kite Hil," is a grassy, foot hilltop overlooking the waters of Lake Washington to the east. With no trees to trap your kite, Kite Hill offers clear views to the north and south. Mount Rainier too! From Sand Point Way N. Go straight ahead to the lake, then left north along the shoreline. The Junior League of Seattle donated and dedicated this "Air, Land and Sea" playground to the children of Seattle to commemorate the organization's 75 years of community service.

The playground was designed partly by children and built entirely by volunteers at the site of the former Naval Air Station, Seattle Control Tower. The design of the playground includes several features which commemorate the site's past use as an airfield. The N. It also includes markings at each end just like a real runway.
